Well, ok, not really...but I have made this bread at least 10 times this winter.
I may be the last person in blogland to have tried this No-Knead Bread recipe since it was first published in the New York Times in 2006 . Doesn't matter. I am happy to have found it and happy with the consistently excellent results. I add a little whole wheat flour and a handful of wheat bran to the recipe, but there are lots of bloggers out there with their own tip and tricks. I have tried several suggestions and have come to believe that this bread is completely fool-proof.
It makes a great gift - I made this loaf for my neighbor Holly:
